Autumn in Quebec City is really something! The colors, the fresh air, the atmosphere on Grande Allée… in my opinion, it's one of the best times to discover the city on foot. And the good news? From Hôtel Le Concorde Québec, several must-see spots are accessible without even taking the car.
Start the day with a walk on the Plains of Abraham, right next to Grande Allée.
Take a little detour to the Jeanne-d’Arc Garden and take the time to enjoy the colors. Honestly, in autumn, it's hard to find a better place to take beautiful photos!
Little tip: bring a sweater… October mornings in Quebec City can be quite chilly.
After walking a bit, head to Avenue Cartier for a coffee or a good lunch.
You can also take the opportunity to stop at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, which is nearby.
And between us… after walking on the plains, the little coffee break is quite welcome!
Then, head to Old Quebec to stroll through the historic streets and make your way to the Dufferin Terrace.
Still have energy? Head down to Petit-Champlain.
Prepare your legs! There are a few steps to climb back up, but rest assured: the funicular can also take you back up. And I must admit… the view is really worth it!
After all that, return to your and my favorite hotel: the Concorde to rest.
That's what I love about the Concorde's location: you can go explore the city on foot and return quietly to the hotel at the end of the day.
And with a beautiful view of Quebec to end the day… it's hard to ask for more.
