Residence of Cyrille Duquet
Construction of the residence of Cyrille Duquet, a well-known jeweler, goldsmith, silversmith, and watchmaker from Quebec at the current location of the Hôtel Le Concorde Québec.

Presentation of the construction project
This photo montage made in 1969 represents the proposed site for the construction of the future Hôtel Le Concorde on Grande-Allée in 1969. The project was proposed by the Concordia Group to the City of Quebec.

Architect's Plan
The architecture of Hôtel Le Concorde Québec is the work of Dimitri Dimakopoulos who wanted to combine ancient times and modernism with the result we know. Le Concorde was a pioneer in several areas. Indeed, it is here that we find the first revolving restaurant in Quebec and the first panoramic elevator.

Construction in progress
The plans of Dimitri Dimakopoulos come to life: the construction of a 29-story hotel with 454 rooms is progressing rapidly!
1974
Official Inauguration
The building is officially inaugurated under the hotel banner Loews Hotel Holding Corporation, on April 1, 1974.


2013
Hotel Closure
The renowned hotel chain Loews announces the imminent closure of its hotel located on Grande Allée, in Quebec. A change of purpose is even planned as a major investor has reportedly reached an agreement to convert it into a luxury student housing building.
2016
New urban spa
In the fall of 2016, the urban spa opens its doors on the 4th floor of the hotel, at the location where an outdoor pool was formerly located, giving rise to a year-round relaxation space, including a heated indoor pool, two spas, two saunas, and relaxation areas.

5 years of Hôtel Le Concorde Québec
Hôtel Le Concorde Québec celebrates 5 years of existence, in a building that has been around for nearly fifty. The hotel is now a symbol in the city of Québec and a must-see in the urban landscape of the region.
